Why Artà
Artà sits on the edge of the Serra de Llevant, surrounded by pastures and olive groves. The town itself is modest and honest – a Tuesday market, a handful of cafés, an art museum, a few galleries. The people who live here know their baker. Prices are still moderate, though demand is rising noticeably.

Living in Artà
In the historic center you'll find stone townhouses with patios and the occasional view of the castle. In the surrounding countryside – toward Capdepera, Colònia de Sant Pere or Son Servera – there are fincas and country homes with land. Natural stone, high ceilings, thick walls – the substance is good.

Location and access
Cala Ratjada and Capdepera are 15 minutes away, the beaches of Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla 20. Palma is about an hour via the Ma-15. Artà has schools, doctors, a weekly market, supermarkets – full village life that isn't dominated by tourism.

Which beaches belong to Artà?
Cala Torta, Cala Mitjana, Cala Estreta – wild, unspoiled coves in the Llevant nature park. Little development, lots of pine and sandstone. Beaches you walk to, not drive into.
Who is Artà right for?
Buyers who love culture, hiking, riding and quiet – and don't need a marina at the door. More international than Felanitx, quieter than Santanyí.
