Felanitx in 10 minutes by car, Santanyí in 25, Palma in 45. The town has bakeries, supermarkets, doctors and good restaurants. Beach: Cala Marsal, 5 minutes on foot. If you want to live on the water without a tourist hub, this is one of the most honest addresses on the island. Palma airport sits an hour away – roughly an 8-hour direct flight from New York.

What makes Portocolom special?
Portocolom is one of Mallorca's most original natural harbors – not a mega-port, but a working fishermen's and family town with a promenade, restaurants and the lovely Cala Marçal beach. The harbor basin is large and calm, the town has substance.
