From about 300 m² it becomes its own living space. Classic finca plots run 1,000–10,000 m². Size isn't everything – cut, orientation, and existing planting matter just as much.

Which plants work well?

Classic Mediterranean: olive trees, almond trees, bougainvillea, oleander, cypress, rosemary, lavender. Water-saving and island-typical. English lawn barely works here – rock gardens and gravel look better and save water.

How important is irrigation?

Very. Mallorca has long dry spells – a well-planned drip system with a timer is mandatory for any maintained garden. We check the irrigation during the property review.

What does garden care cost?
