An elevator is more than convenience – it turns a residence into a home that still works in twenty years.

In older buildings, a retrofitted elevator is often a condominium matter. We check maintenance contracts, reserves for modernization, and whether all owners are on board. ITV inspections (technical inspection) should also be documented.

A retrofit elevator is also possible in historic townhouses – via the inner courtyard, in an old stair core, or as an external shaft in the patio. Permits, structural calculations, and heritage protection are the central themes here. We know architects who handle this well.

If you're buying today and want to still live there in 20 years, an elevator puts you on the safe side. For parents, in-laws, or with limited mobility, an elevator turns a multi-story home into one you actually use.

Often yes, but technically and legally demanding. The staircase needs space or an external shaft must be possible. For a comunidad , you need majority approval. We bring in a structural engineer and lift installer.
In a townhouse with a dedicated shaft, €25,000–€45,000. In an apartment complex as a shared elevator, much higher – but split across all owners. Subsidies are possible.
Inspection status, service contract, energy class, and the comunidad's reserves. An old elevator without a maintenance plan is a refurbishment risk.
