What matters

Fiber internet at a glance.

Mallorca is further along with fiber rollout than many think – but far from everywhere. We tell you exactly where the line sits.

01

Fiber on Mallorca – where things stand

Movistar, Vodafone, and Orange are expanding broadly – denser in town centers, patchy in the countryside. For each property we check actual availability at the connection point – not just "in the area." A provider map isn't enough; often you have to call and look on site.

02

Why fast internet matters here

Anyone working from Mallorca – home office, video calls, cloud-based software – needs stable bandwidth. 4G is available almost everywhere but isn't a reliable solution for continuous use. A fiber line at the house is the most honest value driver for island workers.

03

When fiber isn't there yet

In the countryside, in many fincas and small villages, fiber hasn't arrived. Alternatives: a 5G router with an outdoor antenna, Starlink satellite (good but with ongoing cost), or hope for the next rollout. We tell you realistically which option works for each location.

Frequently asked

What buyers ask about Fiber internet.

Where is fiber available on Mallorca?

Now broadly available in Palma, Cala d'Or, Portocolom, Santanyí, Felanitx, and many villages. Rare in the rural outskirts (fincas) – there mostly DSL, 4G/5G, or satellite.

What does a fiber connection cost?

If the line is at the house: free when switching providers. If not: a house connection between €0 (some providers) and €800 (rural outskirts, if possible at all).

Which providers are there?

Movistar, Orange, Vodafone, Digi, MásMóvil – all with fiber plans. Plans from €25/month with 600 Mbit, top tier with symmetric 1 Gbit. We recommend based on the address.

What to check on fincas?

Check the address with the fiber-checker (movistar.es, orange.es). If unavailable, 4G/5G routers with an antenna are usually the best option – 100–300 Mbit, fine for daily use.
