Gardener hourly rates on Mallorca
Between €29.50 and €37.50 per hour is standard for professional garden care including VAT – depending on whether you have a property-management contract or hire piecework. For specialised tasks (irrigation system checks, for example) it can rise to €55/hour.
Minimum monthly costs
Even with hourly rates, a monthly minimum is often required – frequently €200 a month. For a large garden, that doesn't go far.
Large plots – realistic ranges
For "large" gardens (above 1,000 m²), €440 a month or more is common. On Mallorca, with denser planting and year-round care, you should at least double that.
A realistic monthly retainer for a 15,000 m² finca garden sits between €1,500 and €3,000 – depending on ambition and season. Avenue trees, pool surroundings, Mediterranean specialities? Then expect the upper end.
Extras
Machinery, fertiliser, water and replacement plants, as well as travel time and specialist care, are usually billed separately.
Special services
Tree pruning, irrigation system checks or pool cleaning often come on top. The same goes for larger olive groves, dedicated landscaping or the trimming of trees and palms.
