About the property
Description
In the historic centre of Santanyí stands this Mediterranean townhouse with around 228 m² of living space spread across three floors. Built in 2007, it carries the character of its surroundings: golden sandstone, a settled urban texture, and a position just a short walk from the Plaça Major yet sheltered from the bustle of market days. Six bedrooms and three bathrooms are distributed across the floors, offering generous space for various living arrangements. Several balconies and two terraces totalling around 75 m² extend the living space outward. Heating is provided by oil-fired central heating and a warm/cold air conditioning system, making the house suitable for year-round use. A garage of around 60 m² is included - a real advantage in a central old-town location. The fitted kitchen with pantry provides a solid base; the building is in well-maintained condition and offers scope in places for individual updates and personal touches. Taken as it stands, the house delivers substance, spatial depth, and an address that rarely comes to market in this form. With some investment, it can become a townhouse with its own distinct character in the heart of Santanyí. For you, if… you want a home with history and room to breathe, value old-town life as part of everyday living, and are looking to put down roots in a location that won't repeat itself.

Location
Santanyí is located in the southeast of Mallorca - one of the most beautiful market towns on the island. The old town built from golden sandstone, the ancient watchtowers, and the Iglesia de Sant Andreu on the Plaça Major give the place its distinctive character. The setting is a quiet street in the historic core - a few steps from the Plaça Major yet sheltered from the market-day bustle. Life in Santanyí starts right at the door: small boutiques, bakeries, pharmacies, wine and olive oil shops, cafés, and restaurants are all reachable on foot within minutes. On Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the weekly market transforms the Plaça Major into one of the liveliest stages on the island. The health centre (Centre de Salut) is also within walking distance. Families will find the public primary school CEIP Santanyí and several kindergartens right in the village. International schools such as Eurocampus in Palma are reachable within 45 to 60 minutes by car. The sea is just a few minutes away by car. Cala Santanyí, Cala Llombards, and the iconic Caló des Moro and Cala s'Almunia are all within 10 to 15 minutes. The Mondragó nature reserve with its calm coves, pine forests, and walking trails is also close by. The fishing village of Cala Figuera with its natural harbour is about ten minutes away. On Sundays, the market in Felanitx is worth the short drive - one of the largest on the island. Golfers will find Vall d'Or Golf in 20 to 25 minutes, set among pines with sea views. Palma airport is around 45 minutes away, and the city centre about an hour. Santanyí is a place people stay. Morning coffee in the sun, afternoons at the market, evenings winding down in a courtyard or on a rooftop terrace.
