Llucmajor lies in the south of Mallorca, one of the largest municipalities on the island, with sweeping landscapes, dry-stone walls, almond trees and a quiet, traditional town centre. The finca stands in the rural surroundings of the town - surrounded by open land, pines and almond trees. In the morning you hear birds, in the evening cicadas. Permanent neighbours are the exception rather than the rule. Llucmajor itself has around 14,000 inhabitants and a complete infrastructure: supermarkets, pharmacies, bakeries, banks, restaurants, cafés and boutiques around the Plaça Espanya. The weekly market is held on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings. Schools, kindergartens, a modern health centre and the Llucmajor hospital are all in town. The festival "Sa Fira" each October is one of the largest folk festivals on the island.
