Cap des Moro lies in the southeast of Mallorca - a quiet, small settlement of holiday houses and fincas, set among pines and rocky coastline. There are few permanent neighbours, but plenty of quiet and sky. On foot you reach the coves of Cala s'Almunia and Caló des Moro within minutes - two of the most beautiful beaches on the island, embedded in a spectacular rocky coast. The family-friendly Cala Llombards, with its sandy beach and chiringuito right at the water's edge, is also just a short drive away. Santanyí is around ten minutes by car. The lively market town is the heart of the region: weekly market every Wednesday and Saturday, small boutiques, bakeries, pharmacies, wine and olive oil shops, the health centre (Centre de Salut), and a handful of restaurants and cafés around the Plaça Major. Families will find the public primary school (CEIP Santanyí) and several kindergartens here. International schools such as Eurocampus in Palma are around 45 to 60 minutes away. On Sundays, the market in Felanitx is worth a visit, as is the harbour of Portopetro - a small bay with fishing boats, waterside bars, and a sense of old Mallorca. The Mondragó Nature Park with its unspoiled beaches and walking trails is practically on the doorstep. Palma airport is around 50 minutes away, and the city centre about an hour. Golfers will find Vall d'Or Golf in 25 minutes, set among pines with sea views. Cap des Moro is not a place for noise. Morning coffee outside, barefoot to the beach at midday, and stars at night clearer than almost anywhere else on the island.
