About the property
Description
In the south of Mallorca, surrounded by olive trees and Mediterranean garrigue, a new finca is taking shape. Set on approximately 1.9 hectares of land, the two-storey house is being built in a classic island style – local natural stone masonry, sage-green aluminium shutters and a solid wooden entrance door. Completion is scheduled for 2027, with construction currently around 60% complete. The layout follows a clear division. The ground floor features an open-plan living area: a kitchen with island, dining area and living room with wood-burning stove arranged along one continuous axis, complemented by two bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. Large windows and doors connect the interiors with the garden. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a terrace with a French balcony and views stretching across the surrounding landscape. Beneath the house is a fully finished basement with a ventilated foundation. An air circulation system helps prevent rising moisture. This level also houses the technical room. Outside, the grounds become the centrepiece. The pool measures 12 x 4 metres, with a water surface of 48 m². Directly beside it is an annex with a barbecue pergola and a small storage room. Two covered terraces and pergolas around the house create the perfect balance of sun and shade that makes life in Mallorca so special. The rest of the plot remains largely untouched - olive trees, wild herbs and a few traditional stone walls. The finishes are a contemporary interpretation of the Mediterranean country house. Natural stone washbasins with dark bronze fittings, an open kitchen with central island, a wood-burning stove in the living area, underfloor heating and hot-and-cold air conditioning in the bedrooms, as well as solar preparation. Double-glazed aluminium windows feature the characteristic green Persianas. For you if you’re looking for a peaceful island setting with plenty of land - and the opportunity to add the final personal touches to a new-build finca with an authentic local character.

Location
Location
Ses Salines lies in the south of Mallorca, in the landscape between Es Trenc and Colònia de Sant Jordi. A small village centre between open fields and old salt flats, with a fishing harbour a few minutes away - compact enough to run most of daily life on foot, quiet enough to come back to yourself in winter. The day starts in the neighbourhood. At the Eroski City on Carrer la Pau, the weekly shop is done in minutes - open from eight-thirty to nine in the evening, and Sunday mornings. The small bakeries in the centre serve fresh bread and ensaimadas in the morning. On Thursday morning, from eight to two, the weekly market spreads across the Plaça Major right in front of the town hall - small but authentic, mainly for residents. For a larger farmers' market, you drive fifteen minutes to Santanyí on Saturdays, or twenty minutes to Campos on Thursdays and Saturdays. The sea is a few minutes away. Es Trenc with its untouched sand beach is ten minutes by car, the salt flats as a nature reserve with the flamingos right next to it. Colònia de Sant Jordi with its harbour and village beach is just as close, Cala Marmols and the rocky bays of the southern tip a bit further. In winter, the beach is almost yours alone, in summer early morning or late afternoon is worth the trip. For daily life, everything is in the village. The pharmacy, the basic health centre UBS on Carrer Na Bergues, the public primary school, post office and bank are all within a few minutes on foot. Paediatricians and the secondary school are in Campos, fifteen minutes by car. For larger errands, Santanyí is the next address. In the evening, life shifts to the village centre. At Restaurant Cassai Gran Café, an institution in the village housed in a three-hundred-year-old Mallorcan house with a patio, you sit the Mediterranean way. For a sundowner by the water, you drive ten minutes to Colònia de Sant Jordi to Cassai Sunset Club with a view of Cabrera, then perhaps fish at the harbour or a late round at Bodeguita El Cubano. Palma is around 45 minutes away, the airport roughly 35. A location where calm and island connection sit side by side without asking for a compromise.
