Ariany occupies a gently elevated setting in the Pla, the heart of Mallorca, among fields, small country roads and the neighboring villages of Petra, Sineu and Santa Margalida. This is inland Mallorca, close to the coast. The house combines village life with views across the surrounding hills. Behind the front door you have your own retreat; outside, the lanes lead toward small shops and squares. Botiga Nova is an option in the village for bread, pastries, fruit and everyday groceries. For a slower start, you can stop for breakfast at Cafeteria S'Auberg on Plaça de sa Creu. Thursday brings the small weekly market to Plaça Major. It mainly serves people from Ariany and the surrounding area, with fresh food and everyday goods rather than a large market. A huge Wednesday market you find in the neighboring Sineu. For time by the sea, head towards the northern coast. Between Puerto Alcudia and Can Picafort stretches the Playa de Muro, the Muro beach, for a swim or a walk along the shore. Depending on traffic it takes about 20 minutes to get there. In summer you can have breakfast at the beach and return to your patio later; outside the main season, the same outing might become a longer beach walk. Everyday services in Ariany include a pharmacy, the UBS Ariany primary care clinic and the public CEIP Guillem Frontera i Pascual school. The reference health center is CS Vilafranca - Ses Roques Llises. Specific care needs or secondary-school options can be checked according to your circumstances. Allow approximately 45 to 50 minutes by car to Palma and around 40 to 45 minutes to the airport. The route, traffic and exact destination affect the journey.
